TOUR OVERVIEW: Overnight Desert Excursions Starting From Erfoud To Merzouga
This overnight desert excursion starting from Erfoud to experience a camel trek and sleep in a desert camp. The time of pick up from Erfoud is around 03:00 pm from Erfoud. It will take us an hour to reach the hotel/camel area on the edge of the dunes.
TOUR ITINERARY: Overnight Desert Excursion From Erfoud to Erg Chebbi Dunes:
Our professional driver will be meeting you at your place. You will be taken in a 4×4 vehicle (go off-roading) to reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will have a panoramic view before you reach the hotel/camel area on the edge of the sand dunes. Get ready for a camel trek for less than an hour to enjoy the sunset.
Ride your dromedary over the golden sand sea. Enjoy the wonderful scenery from the highest dune. Back on your camel to head to the camp. You will be welcomed with a fresh mint tea. Later on, the staff will show you your tent. Enjoy a delicious dinner followed by local music entertainment around the fireplace. Watch the Sahara desert stars and wake up earlier to a spectacular sunrise. After your breakfast in the camp, your driver will take you back to Erfoud. Drop you off at your place or your car park.

This 2 nights & 3 days excursion from Erfoud will permit you to experience a camel trek and spend the night in a desert camp. Explore the villages around Erg Chebbi dunes. Visit Hassi Lbied oasis, Merzouga center, along with Khamlia village. Stop at the nomad family tent and view the fossils on the black volcanic rocks. A wonderful desert experience awaiting you!
TOUR ITINERARY: 3 Days Desert Trip from Erfoud to Erg Chebbi dunes:
Day 1: Meet up point: Erfoud, Errachidia ( Depending on what we agreed upon by email)
Meet up with you in Erfoud, it will take us an hour to reach the hotel/auberge situated on the edge of the dunes. Arrive at the hotel and have your dinner. Spend the night in a room in the hotel
Day 2: Desert region: Erg Chebbi Sightseeing Tour.
After breakfast, you will explore around Merzouga and Erg Chebbi dunes. This Sahara desert excursion gives you the opportunity to discover the surrounding regions by visiting the tiny villages (such as Khamlia, the village of black people famous for Gnawa music) and fossil sites in addition to the nomad family living in a traditional Berber tent.
Have a break for lunch. Then, we drive you to explore the small oasis of Hassi Lbied to see the canal irrigation system. After that, we head to the camel area to start a camel ride. Experience the sunset on the dune to reach the desert camp in the middle of nowhere. Enjoy your evening, dine under the stars and sleep in a desert tent.
Day 3: Going back from the desert to Erfoud
Waking up very earlier to witness the sunrise on the dunes. Enjoy your breakfast. Get ready to go back to Erfoud with your driver.
